I called two weeks in advance to order a delivery for my sister. She was receiving an award, (not only an award, the highest award possible from fellow Rotarians) from the Dowagiac Rotary. It was ordered for Thursday May 25th. I specifically stated that it needed to be delivered at 12:30 due to no one being at the Elks' Lodge during the day. I gave my information and I was told that it would be delivered; no problem. The day has arrived and no flowers. I called the florist and asked if it was delivered; since my niece had stated she didn't see any flowers. I called the florist and asked if they had been delivered; the kind lady on the phone said she remembered taking my order but the flowers were taken early this morning by the owner, Becky Mayor. Holy Cow!!! No one is at an Elks' Lodge early in the morning!! I stated that I would double check with my niece and the nice lady on the phone stated she would text me when she found out how the flowers were delivered. No flowers. I called again and spoke to Becky Mayor, who then said they could not deliver at a specific time or to a luncheon. What????!!!!! If they could not deliver at a specific time or to a luncheon then why did they take my order??? Yes, I was very upset; no, I did not use profanity and no, I was not out of control. As I was letting Ms. Mayor know that I was very upset, that I wanted a refund and I could not believe they did not make the delivery........as if Cassopolis or Dowagiac is so busy with flower deliveries........she hung up on me!!! What great customer service and professionalism. What happened to the customer is always right? She hung up on me??!!!! What kind of business person hangs up on potential future customers????!!!!!! I called back to request that a refund receipt be sent to me in the mail and she refused to take down my physical address. Again, what kind of business person handles mistakes in this manner. Where's the customer service rep???? The only reason I gave 1 star is you have to rate them before you can add comments. They really deserve a Zero.
